Scythes of the Emperor painted Assault Marine

Here's a Scythes of the Emperor chapter Assault Marine I painted for my friend Isaac.  I really liked the work of Sebastian Stuart over at http://www.the-scythes.com and http://eastern-empire.com/ so you'll definately see some similarities.   Apparently the Scythes and Tau (my main 40k army) had some serious battles during the Damocles Crusade so I put a little fluff tribute into the model and paint job.

For the yellow, I used the Golden Sun Yellow after basing the light parts with White.  I put A LOT of layers to get rid of streaks.   After that i washed the yellow areas with Ogryn Flesh wash, a heavy dry brush of Golden Sun again and then a lighter dry brush of the Sunburst yellow.
